Who we are

Welcome to From the Ground Up, a yoga studio built with intention, warmth, and community at its heart. Nestled in the serene countryside of Pawlet, Vermont, our light-filled space was designed to support healing, movement, and transformation. With expansive windows, calming pale green walls, and solid bamboo floors, the studio mirrors the beauty of the pastoral and mountain views that surround it—offering a peaceful sanctuary for all who step inside.

At From the Ground Up, we believe that yoga is more than just a practice; it’s a journey toward balance, strength, and connection. Whether you are seeking to deepen your practice, find relief from stress, or simply take a moment to breathe, our inclusive community welcomes you exactly as you are.

Our motto, "You practice yoga to work on yourself, you practice yoga together to lift each other up," reflects our belief that personal growth and collective support go hand in hand. Led by Margaret, a 500-hour certified yoga instructor with a passion for making yoga accessible, engaging, and transformative, our classes weave together Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative, and Vinyasa Flow styles with humor, real-life wisdom, and a deep respect for each student’s unique path.

In addition to our yoga offerings, we also provide Pilates-yoga fusion classes, breathwork sessions, and meditation practices to support holistic well-being. These classes help strengthen the body, calm the mind, and encourage a deeper sense of inner connection.

Beyond the studio walls, our vision extends into nature. With a thriving garden on-site and the gentle flow of Flower Brook just beyond the meadow, we dream of bringing our practice outdoors, where the rhythm of breath meets the beauty of the land.

From beginners to seasoned practitioners, all are welcome here. Join us, ground yourself in the present, and rise into your fullest potential.
